Having a balanced diet also helps to keep your general health in check. This means you're less likely to develop conditions that affect your teeth such as diabetes or gastrointestinal problems.
Many people choose to switch to diet drinks to reduce their sugar consumption. Though making this change means less sugar comes into contact with your teeth, if the drink is fizzy, it can still cause damage. This is because it contains acids that can wear away a tooth's enamel. So while still low sugar drinks are better for your teeth, fizzy diet drinks aren't.

To improve your tooth health, prioritise food and drink that won't damage the enamel surface of your teeth, the soft tissues or gums. Also, try and cut 'bad' items from your diet as much as possible.
Maintaining a good oral hygiene routine with regular brushing and flossing will also help to protect your teeth from being damaged by food or drink. Having occasional hygienist appointments will also help you avoid decay or damage.
